Ghostly Sweet and Salty Snack Mix Recipe

  • Yield: 10 cups

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces vanilla candy coating
  • 1 cup chex cereal pieces
  • Sprinkles - I used Sweets and Treats Shops Sweet Sprinkles Mix: Monster Mash
  • Candy Ghost Decorations
  • Small Candy Eyes
  • 5 cups mini pretzels + 1 cup for pretzel ghost
  • 2 cups mallow candy pumpkins
  • 1 cup salted peanuts
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Melt vanilla candy coating accordning to package directons.
  2. Lay 1 cup mini pretzels out onto a piece of parchment paper or a slipmat.
  3. Spoon a bit of melted vanilla candy coating into the center of each mini pretzel.
  4. Press a candy ghost into the melted vanilla candy coating on some of the pretzels and add candy eyes to the melted vanilla candy coating on the rest to create ghost pretzels.
  5. Dip 1 cup of chex pieces (individually or in clumps) into the melted vanilla candy coating. Lay them on a piece of parchment paper and sprinkle with Halloween Sprinkles.
  6. Let Pretzels and chex pieces sit for 15 - 20 minutes or until vanilla candy coating hardens.
  7. In a large bowl, combine plain mini pretzels, candy pumpkins, peanuts and white chcooalte chips. Stir to combine.
  8. Stir in ghosts.
  9. Stir in mini marshmallows right before serving or packaging to keep them from going stale if you're making this ahead of time.
